Airport Open Day 2018

We were delighted to help out at yesterday’s very successful Airport Open Day. The Open Day is held annually in aid of Fly 2 Help the national aviation charity, dedicated to raising the spirits of people undergoing difficult times, due to illness, bereavement etc; and helping youngsters consider career choices in the world of aviation.

Despite yesterday being possibly THE hottest day so far in a very hot Summer, the day was hugely successful with thousands of people coming along to see what the Charity and the Airport are all about. We were glad to play our part by rattling tins, shaking buckets and even helping to run the ever popular Tombola! Many thanks to all who came along and donated to this fabulous cause and enjoyed themselves so much too. Watch this space to learn how much money was raised……..
