Have a cuppa on us!

Maggie’s Cancer Centres provide free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families and friends. The centres are located on the grounds of NHS Cancer hospitals, with staff on hand to offer help and support with the many related issues.  As they also provide a place to meet and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat, it is estimated that Maggie’s serves at least 80 cups of tea a day, equating to 29,780 cups of tea a year. Ellen Roome, Director of The Finance Roome, and a member of the fundraising board of Maggie’s, saw an opportunity to help. Ellen said “I decided to approach various tea bag companies asking if they could provide regular supplies to Maggie’s. Sadly they all declined! When I mentioned this to my friends at The Little Jet Company they decided to step in.”

“We are proud to be able to donate to such a worthy cause,” stated Barry Preece, Director of The Little Jet Company.  “Small things like this mean so much to local charities with tight budgets. With cancer affecting nearly everyone, no matter their wealth, background or ethnicity, causes like Maggie’s should receive support from local companies like ourselves. We thank Maggie’s for their work locally and further afield and are keen to help them continue  helping those suffering with this terrible illness.”
